On the edge of the Trossachs National Park sits the Port of Menteith on the shores of Scotland's only Lake. The village lies at the foot of the Menteith Hills and at the head of the Carse of Stirling with Flanders Moss, the largest raised peat bog in Europe, at its centre. The scattered farming community has a Kirk, hotel and fisheries at its heart and can trace its historical roots back for hundreds of years.
